Discussion meeting on "Collaboration in Developing English Language Competencies for Teachers"
Phnom Penh Capital:
On Friday, the 4th waning day of the month of Meak, Year of the Snake, Seventh Cycle, Buddhist Era 2569, corresponding to 6 February 2026, Her Excellency Dr. Khuon Vichheka, Director General of the Department of Training and Inspection, received the leadership of Edifyworld for a courtesy call and working discussion on cooperation in developing English language capacity for teachers.
Edifyworld is the first professional English language training center in Phnom Penh operated by the United Kingdom. It provides the NOCN ESOL International qualification, which is internationally recognized by Ofqual (UK) and has permanent validity. The curriculum is structured in accordance with the CEFR framework, ranging from A1 to C2 (including the foundational A0 level), focusing on the four core skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The program applies a student-centered learning approach and is supported by a digital Learning Management System (LMS).
During the meeting, the Edifyworld delegation also presented the extensive experience of its senior leadership, particularly Dr. Mark Windale, who has more than 35 years of experience in implementing teacher professional development programs and national STEM projects in collaboration with ministries of education in many countries. Both parties discussed potential future cooperation, focusing on strengthening English language proficiency for teachers.
The meeting concluded in a warm and cordial atmosphere, with the hope of continuing cooperation to “enhance English language skills for a better future” for Cambodia’s education sector.
